Neighbor Outreach

What We Do

We help neighbors in need in southwest Adams County, Colorado.

The Need

The poverty rate in Southwestern Adams County is almost 13% (with some areas as high as 29%). Some 47,000 of our neighbors are in need of help with food, clothing and everyday necessities. It’s estimated that more than 20,000 children in this area are living below poverty level. We need volunteers and donations (food and money) to address these important needs.

The Response

We conduct two food pantries per month in Thornton – one at at Regis University North Campus on the 1st Thursday of each month and one at Holy Cross Catholic Church on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Client households can receive food without proof of residency. Just show up! You may be asked to sign in or provide your name, address and phone number (we ask for this information only so we can notify you in case of a food recall).
